Alier drives its future by investing in technical skills (hard skills) for our professionals through specialized training in collaboration with Festo. Discover how these trainings enhance our development and competitiveness.

Aligning Business Needs and Team Feedback for Effective Training

At Alier, continuous training is key to our success. This time, we have partnered with Festo, a company renowned for its practical training in various technological fields. From basic training to specialization, they offer innovative solutions that perfectly complement our vision.

To select the right training, we assess the balance between hard skills and soft skills, recognizing that this balance is crucial for ensuring our success. Our HR team plays a vital role in identifying the current needs of the company and adapting our internal training policy to meet these requirements. This policy is based on key principles that ensure the professional development of our employees and the achievement of our organizational goals. By balancing business needs and listening to our employees, we achieve a training investment that is truly effective.

The process of identifying training needs begins at the start of each year. Department heads, who are in direct contact with daily operations, gather and analyze these needs, allowing us to focus our investments on key development areas. As a result, for 2024, we have scheduled ten training sessions ranging from 12 to 24 hours, targeting departments such as electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, instrumentation, and projects, among others. These in-person sessions will be held at Alier Rosselló, with the goal of equipping our team and updating their technical knowledge and procedures.

Alba Casa Benages, Talent and Culture Specialist, highlights: “Investing in training helps us improve internal processes, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, develop specialized technical skills, retain talent, and foster innovation. These investments not only benefit employees but also contribute to the company’s sustainable success, delivering a clear return on investment.”

High-Level Training: Our Employees Confirm Their Satisfaction

There are several reasons why these trainings are essential. First, at Alier, we prioritize the value of #peoplefirst, recognizing that our employees are our most valuable asset. It is crucial that they stay at the forefront of technology and advanced knowledge in their fields. Second, our training partner, Festo, provides high-level instructional expertise aligned with real industry needs. At Alier, we are committed to excellence in selecting our trainers.

Festo has become one of Alier’s main training providers, with nearly 20% of our annual budget allocated to these programs. This investment has had a positive impact on our employees, who feel more confident, satisfied, and prepared. As Paula Prim, Mechanical Engineer at Alier, remarks: “Thanks to the training I have received, I have been able to expand my knowledge and continue developing as a professional.” This focus on training has allowed our employees to develop key skills such as adaptability to new technologies, innovation, and sustainable growth. By being trained in the latest methodologies, our employees have optimized their work processes, contributing more effectively to innovation within the company, which is crucial for our market competitiveness.

We Take Pride in Having a Committed Team that Sees Recycling as Evolution

Rubessa Patrick, Account Manager, consulting and training specialist at Festo, comments: “The Alier team has shown great interest in the topics covered and has actively participated in the proposed activities. The satisfaction survey results have been very positive.” At Alier, we are deeply grateful for our team’s commitment and motivation. Such active participation is crucial for the success of any training program. We are proud to see how the knowledge gained translates into real improvements in our employees’ daily work.

We will continue to invest in our team’s professional development to ensure our collective well-being and advance our operational excellence goals. Continuous training not only strengthens our employees’ technical and operational skills but also fosters a culture of innovation and constant adaptation.

We are convinced that by maintaining a focus on growth and staff training, we not only improve the quality of our work but also enhance our market position. This investment in training is an integral part of our strategy for achieving excellence and long-term sustainability. Ultimately, investing in our employees’ development is an investment in the company’s future. We are committed to providing learning opportunities that drive both individual and collective growth, thereby ensuring Alier’s success and competitiveness in a constantly evolving business environment because recycling is evolution.
